WM der Feuerwehrleute: Erste Deutsche schafft es in den Elite-Klub
Sie schultern einen neunzehn Kilo schweren Schlau und erklimmen einen zwölf Meter hohen Turm, simulieren beim „Hammerschlagen“ das Durchdringen einer massiven Wohnungstür und wuchten eine 80-Kilo-Puppe über den Asphalt - all das unter Atemschutz mit schweren Sauerstoffflaschen auf dem Rücken. Am Ende dieses kräftezehrenden Parcours fallen auch die härtesten Feuerwehrleute erschöpft zu Boden, müssen von etlichen Helfern versorgt werden. Unter ihnen ist auch Marie Schumann, im Hauptberuf Ärztin und Notärztin in Berlin und in ihrer Freizeit bei der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr in ihrer Heimatstadt Potsdam. Im Sommer hat sie sich in Hamburg den Titel "Härteste Feuerwehrfrau Deutschlands" erkämpft. Jetzt misst sie sich bei der Weltmeisterschaft der "Firefighter Combat Challenge" im US-amerikanischen Montgomery (Alabama) mit den besten Feuerwehrleuten der Welt - und erkämpft sich als erste deutsche Frau einen Platz im "Lion's Den", dem Eliteclub, in den nur die Schnellsten der Schnellsten aufgenommen werden. In der Gesamtwertung schafft sie es am Ende unter die Top 10 der Weltspitze. Taking a mock driving test is a great way to get ready for a real Driving Test. The learner driver can get a feel of what the driving test will be like, and the instructor can see how the learner handles challenging situations when driving independently. Even if the learner makes enough faults to fail the mock test, it will identify which skills are up to standard and which need to be improved.
